History:
Following a particularly heated argument with her well-to-do foster parents Craig and Nancy Webster, (this one regarding a recent tattoo), Michelle stormed off in one of her typical furies: she jumped back into her car and peeled out of the driveway as fast and violently as possible. So worked up was she, however, that this time she didn't notice when she drifted into the opposite lane - directly into the path of an oncoming vehicle. She avoided a head-on collision but could no longer control the car and flew off a cliff face, slamming into a thick copse of trees. To her utter dismay, Michelle suddenly found herself lying on a morgue shelf, naked except for a hospital sheet, gasping for air and senses flaring with a memory of intense pain - and with Duncan MacLeod towering overhead, thrusting a set of clothes towards her. She could only babble semi-coherently as Duncan quickly hustled her out of the hospital and to his Dojo.

Duncan laid out the details: Michelle was now officially dead, and an Immortal. Before he could continue, Michelle's foster father called with the news that Michelle's body was missing and Duncan was needed to assist in the search. Michelle was quick to express her contempt as always, but Duncan left with strict instructions for Michelle: Stay put and don't answer the door. Michelle complied - until she felt the buzz hit her for the first time. Following the strange sensation, she came face-to-face with , Axel Whittaker who offered to take her under his wing and train her properly.

Upon his return, Duncan quickly found out about Axel's offer, and immediately warned Michelle about the other side of Immortality: that Michelle was a expected to fight in the Game Axel intended to use her as a lure for other Immortals. When Michelle attempted to enter her customary denial, Duncan suddenly turned violent, pressing a blade to her throat. MacLeod's admonition chilled Michelle to the core: "You learn the game or you die."

Yet another emotional shock came to Michelle when her foster father appeared at the Dojo, breaking into tears before Duncan. Michelle, having heard the entire exchange concealed behind a wall, at last realized how much pain her "loss" was causing her former family. Reaching out to Duncan for the only comfort she knew, she exacerbated the tension between herself and her appointed mentor. Duncan became convinced he was not the appropriate tutor for Michelle and began making arrangements for a friend to take Michelle as her student.
Faced with what she saw as yet another rejection, Michelle decided she had had enough of Duncan MacLeod and his overbearing father role. She immediately flew into Axel's waiting arms. Hot on her heels, Duncan confronted her aboard Axel's yacht, but at the last second, he lowered his blade, advising Michelle not to listen to either himself or Axel, but to her own instincts. Faced with this development, Michelle walked off the yacht, and watched, as Duncan flew on Axel, taking the others head within minutes. The next day, Michelle met her new tutor - Amanda.   Amanda enrolled her in the St. Olaf's School for Girls in 1994.  During her holiday and summer breaks she worked with Amanda learning how to survive as an Immortal.
In 1996 Michelle graduated from the finishing school and went on to enroll in the University of California at Berkeley where she studied acting.  In 1998 she had her first challenge and took her first head and so....as the traditional Immortal rite of passage...Amanda gave her a cutlas saber and told her that she had taught her all that she could.  Without Amanda's strict supervision, Michelle began to let her studies fall by the wayside as she was convinced she didn't need them to become an actress.  She dropped out of school in late 1998 and moved to Hollywood.  Michelle became prey to some of Tinsel Town's unscrupulous directors and by 2001 she had become the “property” of Jeff Wilson, a porno producer, who got her hooked on drugs and booze and pimped her out every chance he got.
In 2002...unknown to the Mortal director, of course...Wilson sent Michelle on a date with an Immortal, Gary Causton, who took what he wanted then tried to take her head.  But Michelle managed to get the upper hand and took his head.  When the Quickening was over she left town in a panic.  She wound up in Dallas, Texas...broke and going through withdrawal.  She resorted to pick pocketing until she met a group of young run-a-way prostitutes that took her in and taught her their method of surviving.  They would make dates and drug them and when the johns passed out they would empty their wallets.
In 2004 Michelle and her “friends” were busted.  Michelle got a lesser sentence than the others because it was her first offense and spent only 10 months in the county jail while her “friends” each got 2 year sentences in the state penitentiary
In 2005...now clean and sober...Michelle was released to a halfway house where she was taught how to set better goals for herself.  She spent a year in the halfway house and at the end of that year she had convinced her probation officer that she was completely rehabilitated and she was released.
In 2006 she got a job at a fast food restaurant.  Three months after getting hired Michelle answered an ad for a roommate and moved in with a young woman who was working in one of the local clubs as an “exotic dancer”.  Michelle was impressed by the amount of tips her roommate brought home every night and asked her for lessons.  One month later she quit her job at the fast food restaurant and went to work at the club where her roommate worked.
In 2007 Michelle meets Immortal Steve Harrington who falls for her.  Harrington reminds her of her first love, Duncan MacLeod, so she moves in with him and tries to pretend that he is Duncan.  Harrington convinces her to give up the strip club and help him build his business as an architect.
In 2009 Harrington's business becomes a small but successful firm with 3 architects and several million dollar clients.
In 2010 Harrington's firm clears two million dollars and he asks Michelle to marry him.  She says yes but finds that she can no longer pretend Harrington is someone he's not so as soon as she knows that she is his beneficiary she devises a plan to take his head without any evidence that will point to her.
In 2011, when the time is right she drugs her husband and takes his head while he is passed out.  The evidence of Steve Harrington's murder keeps the local authorities running in circles while Michelle waits for the lawyers to award her Harrington's estate.  As soon as they do she packs up and sneaks out of town and heads for the state she called home and to her one true love.
